Celebrating 90 Years of Mutual Banking
First Federal Bank & Trust is a founded as a Mutual Bank in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1935. As a Mutual Bank, we don't pay stockholders. By banking with First Federal, you help us invest in the places we call home.
First Federal celebrates the completion of the two-story remodel of the Brundage bank in 1976. This location still serves as the Downtown Business Banking & Trust building.
Commercial Lending Services begin in 2002 — the same year the Downtown Bank renovation begins.
First Federal begins offering Trust and Investment Services.
First Federal's new full-service branch opens at 671 Illinois St in Sheridan. This was also the site of the bank's first ATM.
First Federal opens Home Loan Centers in Sheridan, Wyoming and Billings, Montana. The Billings Home Loan Center is the first branch to open outside of Sheridan.
First Federal Bank & Trust wins Independent Community Banker's "Best Community Bank to Work For" in our asset class. The award is a result of a nationwide survey that recognizes community banks that support their served communities, employees and customers.
First Federal breaks ground on a new full-service bank building in Billings, Montana.
Our new bank building officially opens in October at 645 Henry Chapple Street in Billings. We are able to offer drive-up services and add additional staff as we grow our presence in the Billings market.
